About

I’ve been a technology writer since my college days in the late 1980s. Over the years I’ve worked for a variety of magazines, including OMNI, Compute!, Computer Gaming World, and Handheld Computing. I’m currently the Games editor for Microsoft’s Xbox.com website, and co-host of the Insider Moves games tips show on Xbox LIVE.

This blog, though, is my personal spot to talk about gadgets, technologies, and other fallout from my incurable early adopter lifestyle. All of the opinions expressed here are my own, and don’t represent the views, policies, or anything else having having to do with my employer.

    Hi,

I have been looking for a great tech blog and recently found datkin.net. I just read the latest post “Snowy Owls and Eagles at Boundary Bay” and I think
that is an insightful piece for your readers. You have a high quality blog and I have enjoyed reading your posts.

I did not notice if you have accepted guest writers in the past, but I wanted to submit my interest. I have written for
quite a few high quality blogs and I think my content will fit well on your site. Also, I want to let you know the article will include one or
two links, but I am open to following any guidelines you may have.

I hope to work with you soon.

    Thanks-

    Melissa
